Dental Implants: |
Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for individual replacement teeth, bridges or a denture.
Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone. Integration of the implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit more comfortable than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant. A thorough evaluation by our dentist will help determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants |
Veneers: |
Dental veneers are made from thin layers of porcelain that fit over the front of the tooth. Gaps between teeth, discoloration or even chipped teeth can be corrected with this procedure. Most patients prefer this procedure if the tooth in question is still healthy. The tooth is mostly kept in tact. |
Porcelain crowns: |
Porcelain crowns are used to replace most of the original tooth in case of tooth decay and large fillings. The root of the tooth is mostly protected, and improving the appearance considerably.
Various options are available when choosing porcelain crowns. Dental crowns can be made from porcelain only, or porcelain bonded onto various metals, such as dental gold. The bonding of porcelain onto metal gives the crown additional strength.
Dental crowns, purely made from porcelain, allow the light to pass thru the tooth, this in turn makes for a more natural look. |
Bleaching: |
Tooth Bleaching, is the process when the dentist removes stains and lightens the color of your teeth. This procedure is done by the use of peroxide gels and a laser.
Please note, that teeth and gums must be in a healthy condition before tooth whitening may be considered. This procedure is most of the time used when completing dental treatment, which adds the final touch. |
